What’s the deal with the scratch paper?

You can have a piece of scratch paper during the TEAS Exam.

You can use a sheet of 8 ½” x 11” scratch paper to help work through questions on the TEAS exam. It must be blank and without any writing prior to the start of the TEAS exam.  Small tabletop whiteboards will also be accepted for at-home TEAS exams.

It is important that your scratch paper or whiteboard is blank before starting the exam.  The system will identify and flag any scratch paper/whiteboard that is not blank.  You can use this scratch paper/whiteboard throughout the entire exam. You can look down while using the scratch paper/whiteboard, you will not be flagged for normal testing behavior.

Scratch paper may be used for both online (at-home) proctored exams and in-person proctored exams.  Scratch paper will be provided for in-person exams - you do not have to bring your own.
